1 Hour Warm Up
Each lamp is warmed up for 60 minutes in our test chamber, before the testing begins.
-
First Ignition Test
We then take our measurements:
• 25 measurements at pre-marked points with a LUX meter.
• 25 measurements with a PAR meter.
• 1 measurement at a single point with a Spectrophotometer.

Aging The Lamps
Aging the lamps means we ‘run’ lamps for a warmup period of 100 hours to avoid erratic and varied results.
Lamps are aged using the LUMii BLACK Electronic ballasts at 10 hours per ignition, to ensure lamps settle in and their light ouput stablilises.
Doing this provides a much more consistent and real-life portrayal of lamp use.
Each lamp is aged for 10 hours per day over a 10-day period.

1 Hour Warm Up
Each lamp is warmed up for another 60 minutes before the second stage of testing begins.

Aged Lamp Test
We take the same measurements again:
• 25 measurements at pre-marked points with a LUX meter.
• 25 measurements with a PAR meter.
• 1 measurement at a single point with a Spectrophotometer.
Each individual lamp at every stage of testing received a total of 102 measurements.
The same ballast and reflector was used for every test.
